10 Provinces with the Highest Beef Prices Ahead of Ramadan

As the sacred month of Ramadan approaches, the prices of staple goods are on the rise, and beef is no exception. The average price of beef across the country is around IDR 138,650. There is an increase of beef prices across several regions– with Aceh as the province with highest prices.

This increase in beef prices aligns with the Makmeugang tradition practiced by the Acehnese to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. People will purchase beef and prepare special dishes to be enjoyed with their families.

The second to fifth positions are occupied by four provinces from Kalimantan: South Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan.

Here is the list of the top 10 provinces in Indonesia with the highest beef prices:
