On March 21, 2023, BPMP invited ISSED as trainers in their Data Visualization Training event, which was attended by 20 BPMP employees. The primary goal of the training was to empower participants to create impactful visualizations that effectively convey the message of the data. The training sessions incorporated interactive methods, with facilitators providing direct assistance to the participants.
The training commenced with a presentation by Dr. Rumaisa Kruba, S.Si, covering fundamental topics such as the definition and use of data, types of data, various graphic representations, and guidelines for utilizing tables and graphs in data reporting. The second session was led by Nurfajri Aldi, S.Stat, who shared insights on the art of crafting visualizations. The presentations were complemented by engaging activities, including brainstorming sessions, discussions, individual and group exercises, and practical applications or "hands-on experience", where participants created visualizations using real data the BPMP database.
