R-Bootcamp “Data Analysis for Beginners"

Ramadan holds special significance for the people of Aceh, where the majority of the population is Muslim. This year, ISSED organized a 6-day online bootcamp followed by a guest lecture on statistics and data analysis, featuring R software. With a total of 23 participants, the program covered a diverse range of topics, including an introduction to R and in-depth explorations of data structures, graphics, and both descriptive and inferential statistics. The comprehensive curriculum aimed to equip participants with essential skills for data analysis and visualization. To conclude the week, ISSED hosted a captivating guest lecture titled "R You Ready for the Future?" delivered by a data scientist from the New York University Center for Data Science, attracting an impressive audience of 50 participants.
Beyond the immersive learning experience, the bootcamp provided participants with tangible benefits, fostering a deeper understanding of the advantages of R. Starting from the versatility of R and its global community to gaining familiarity with R packages, attendees developed proficiency in creating compelling and informative visualizations.
